From the Commodore's Desk

Fellow Sailors & Friends,

As we set our sails for another exciting season, I'm remided of the traditions that have shaped our club for the last 90 years. From the first hoist of the burgee each spring to docks-out in the late fall, these rituals connect us to the sailors who came before us and to one another. They are the heartbeat of our community, reminding us that while the winds may change, our shared passion endures.

One of the greatest joys is watching the next generation take to the water. Our youth programs are more than jsut sailing lessons - they are a gateway to confidence, teamwork and a lifelong love of sailing. Seeing young sailors trim their first sail or cross the finish line with a grin is a reminder that our future is in capable hands.

Of course, sailing is not just about the races or the perfect trim. It's about camaraderie - the laughter on the deck after a long day, the helping hand when rigging fails, and the tall stories told over a beer. Out there on the water, we are competitors; back on shore we are family.

This coming season, let's honor our 90 years of traditions, nurture our youth, embrace the joy of sailing and strengthen the bonds that make our club more than just a place. It's a home. When you come through the gates, leave the stresses of the world behind and just enjoy our little piece of paradise!

Fair Winds & Following Seas,

Frank Seggio
